    1/2" MDF

Im about to build two underseat boxes for some Sony 10s to fit underneath the back seat of a 98-99 chevy silverado ext cab. Could I use 1/2" mdf to get as much air volume as possible or would it not be practical?
    Thanks

if it's like under 300w, I guess so. If you turly want to maximise though, I strongly recommend that you try fiberglass.. they will be much thinner and stronger than 1/2" MDF.

And the fiberglass supplies would cost more than his subs.

If you just running some sony's and want max airspace why not just use some good old cardboard and duck tape.

J/K, The 1/2" MDF would work fine especially since you got sony's

    Re: 1/2" MDF

1/2" (5/8" probably) will be fine for your purposes. Try adding some braces from top to bottom to support the upper baffle for the subs.
