First time attempt at building a box
So ive been convinced to fabricate my own enclosure, however i have no idea how to do so. I just need some dimensions to get cut for me at the hardware store for me to put together.
Here are my specs:
Vehicle : BMW (e46) 328i (2000)
Location in the vehicle: Trunk
Space available (Length x Width x Height):
Trunk opening is 40" X 17".
Trunk width (inside) at it's greatest distance is 50", and at its smallest is 30" (because it tapers, rear to forward).
Trunk depth is 37".
Trunk height is 17".
Subwoofer make and model: Alpine Type-r
Subwoofer Size: 12inch
Number of Subwoofers: I have 2 but only want an enclosure for one (i want to downsize)
Type of Port (Kerfed, Slot, Aero, etc.): Any but im assuming slot
What type of music do you like?: Electronic, all ranges of bass
Is your goal SPL or Everyday Music?: everyday
Im thinking everyone elses knowledge of frequency and airspace is better than mine since this is a popular sub. I was assumin 32h with 1.75 cubes?
I saw one of these free designs as well:
