2010 Impala Enclosure

Looking for a SQ setup with good sound and good thump. Using an Audison Voce 5.1k amplifier

Here are the options I've been presented with so far:
Single JL 12W6, 12W7, Fosgate P3 or Alpine Type R in a trunk box
2 JL 6W3s mounted into the back deck lid in place of the 6x9s with a custom box mounted underneath. I'm most interested in this design because then it gets the sound waves directly into the cabin. Loved the way the bass sounded in my Durango because the waves had so much space to develope which is something you just don't see much in trunk boxes. Has anyone ever seen an install like this in a sedan?
My budget is about $1000 max for the sub and enclosure.

Wanna stick with JL, Alpine or Rockford because that's what my local shop carries.

u said u liked how the sound waves had time to develop but u get alot more output from subs and port facing trunk ...loads off the decklid..or subs forward port drivers side

The goal is to get the best sound inside the cabin . Output isn't as important as I wanting it to sound clean and defined but I want a lot more output than you'd find from a factory Bose woofer. What did you mean by package tray design?

dont build a box under where the. 6x9.s are ...so. you are looking for sq over spl ....theres alot better for the money than jl apline and rockford...

you can get a good 12 and custom box built for less than 500 o
to be honest ..on 1000 watts or so . should give u the output u desire if you.re not looking to rattle the car apart or compete

Would you just recommend a normal spec box in the trunk or would you try to port it into the cabin at all? Why would you say to stay away from the package tray design?

thats just a bad design and i wouldnt port into cab ..ive tried it and ubles u seal it off it doesnt sound great and that more of a spl thing .best bet is a songle 12 in a box with subs and port facing the trunk ..and folt the seats dowb when u want extra output...

it looks like that audison puts out 1000 on the sub chanel id suggest a ssa gcon 12 or ssa icon 12....in a custom box would sound good
