constructing a grill

im going to construct a false floor and a false wall that'll go in front of my sub box. of course ill have to make 2 holes that go in front of the subs. but if my subs are 12", does the hole have to be 12" as well? and what can i construct a grill out of? if it's a lot cheaper, id rather make one than buy one

Don't make the hole 12"....if your sub comes with a product info sheet, look for a mounting diameter in it...if it doesn't come with one, just ask the manufacturer. As far as a grill, you're probably better off buying them.

I have a pair of 12 grills id sell real cheap. And i mean cheap.
