Re: the DEATHBOX II!! -_-
I could be wrong but it just looks like an adjustable 4th order.
Re: the DEATHBOX II!! -_-
thats what it is. but suposedly it DOUBLES the RMS of any driver.... lol

Just because it doubles the power doesn't mean it's going to be louder, that probably means the box has poor output and you have to use double the power to compensate.

If he was blowing subs with 150w chances are it was just the fact that the design was poor and it was literally ripping apart the sub's suspension. You can't do anything to make a sub magically handle more power than the coil can handle.
Re: the DEATHBOX II!! -_-
Agreed, no enclosure will alter thermal or mechanical limits of a driver.
Re: the DEATHBOX II!! -_-
Also the fact that he was using such low power subs makes me think that if you used this box for anything more than a 300w rms sub it wouldn't work well. It's especially true with bandpasses that more powerful subs tend to require different things from the box. Port area tends to go up drastically as the sub becomes more and more powerful.

What are you talking about? If who was blowing what?
I know boxes can't make subs handle more than the coil can handle.
My post was worded wrong.
I meant if you're having to use double the RMS to achieve the same output then it is a pretty crappy design.
Re: the DEATHBOX II!! -_-
lol, so total BS. i was only looking at it because i have 2 no name 30wRMS subs laying around. thought it could be fun to mess around with until my SPLaudio 8's get here.

You're better off getting a design from one of the box builders on this site.
