How feasible is it to cut a double baffle off the top of a box and replace it? Anyone ever try this? I want to do because Im thinking of changing subs, possibly from an 18" to 6 8"s
depends on tools, not difficult.

it shouldn't hurt any thing structurally, if worried about that just add a little bracing to the added baffle.

circular saw and go to town, have "modified" more then one box like that...
its simple really, but if it was me i would just add another baffle, i have boxes with double/triple baffles on each side lol, carpet or bedliner and you will never notice

I've wanted to do that before. I guess as long as its right sized and sealed well, you'll be good
Current Setup:

JVC KW-AV61BT
Time to rebuild. Gonna do it right this time
