I am going to build a ported box for a 15 inch ID v.3 sub and was wondering if there were be any cancellation issues or timing issues if the port or ports of the box point up to the 6x9 openings in the rear deck.

are you doing sub up or rear or front?
headunit : Sony xab-601bt
fronts: infinity kappa 60.9's
subs:
box : ORIGINAL STARR MOUNTAIN SOUND NUTHUGGER
sub amp:
others: Mechman 240amp alt (for sale)
REFS: Bradfordp2612 , Double 07 , NASTY08IMPALA

The sub would be pointing to the back of the trunk ports pointing up.
usually in a trunk port loading off something sounds better wether it be loading off the trunk lid firing back or loading off driver or passenger side wall .

I've only heard 1 setup like that, 2 Memphis CM 12's subs back 2 4" aero's through the deck tuned at 38hz in an old Toyota cressida. Everywhere in the trunk was sealed except for the ports. It got down too, i would have tuned lower but it was still nice.
