My box port is tuned to 54hz...i set gain and everything according to the 54hz level and jesus its loud when you get around the 54hz tone but everywhere else is kinda lacking. Its a alpine type x 12" dvc 4 ohm getting a true 991rms as per volt meter...44ish volts ac. Is this a bad hz level to have a daily driver tuned to??? Everywhere i look everyone is around wayy lower like the 35hz range.

I'm tuned at 31...I would say drop that tuning down to at least 37hz and see how it does
Get down to @38-40hz Below 35 is pretty pointless if you listen to music besides test tones or slowed remix
got the sub box and alpine type x in box for free.....would like to keep the box ill check out the port volume and see what i can do with it to get the hz lower.

Daily I wouldn't do anything above 38hz..
And I listen to everything from Rap, Dubstep, Dubstep remixes, Rock, Alternative.. etc... I can play anything from 28ish to 50ish and sound good and loud doing so..
1.9net cubes tuned to 31hz.. Hispl built Shocker 12" on an Earthquake 2k... pushing 1k @4ohms..
