    best port direction in trunk

    which is the best port direction in a car when the subs are facing up?i had sub up port back and it was loud and sounded good but ive been reading about porting to the side..btw 2005 impala



    2005 Chevy Impala
    In dash - Pioneer avh-p3200
    Front - Alpine spr-17s 6.5
    Rear - Alpine spr-69 6x9
    Amps - Hifonics bxi2610, jl audio 300/4
    Subs - 2 15" Incriminator Audio Death Row
    box- 8 cu ft net tuned to 32-33 hz

    those trunks are pretty big..can you fit external aeros to the side?...thats a proven setup in various trunk cars

    yeah i could my box is going to be 7.6 cu ft 35x33x14..

    At the very least 2 6in aeros. Tuning is dependent on personal preference

    It could, thats about the lowest you could get away with for 8 cubes. 3 would be more ideal, or even 2 8in aeros if you can fit them. Might be hard tho. I didnt consider that your box was 8cubes

    Do a big slot port out of the side of the enclosure and call it a day....

    So it Will be louder to the side than to the back...i was thinking about just doing a square port to the rear

    If you are doing SUB UP.....you will prob get a better response with port out the side.....
