    NEEDED ported box for 18 inch sub

    I have a 18 in Fi btl it is 2500 watts rms i need a box to hit the low **** someone told me 34-32 hrtz
    the max dim. it can be is
    Length(bumper to bumper) is 36 inches
    Width(wheel to wheel) is 40 inches
    Height is 24 inches
    i would like the sub to be centered

    Ah, those little wheel humps are such a pain to build around. Thankfully you won't need to.

    Its not hard to cover those. Just squaring it off will cover them up. That's goes for any oblique surfaces. Its like walling.......the box doesn't take the shape of the wall exteriors in most cases, like inn the front, the wall is like a baffle made to make the box look flush and on the outer sides the space between the walls and objects are filled in with foam or like material, but the box stayed at 90 degree angles. Pretty simple and effective really. The tougher part is getting the inner characteristics to follow the layout without effecting the output. Most people use those areas as compression chambers anyhow to avoid unwanted resonances.
