What am I doing wrong, 4th order for 2 15" ti

I am trying to design a box to install my pair of 15" eclipse ti in my truck. It is a an old ford f100 regular cab. I was leaning towards a pass thru and after some research I was thinking a 4th order would take the smallest amount of cutting. I am using winisd and must being doing something really wrong.

Here are some screen shots of what I got.



Going by the winisd diagram the box can be w=48 d=16 and h whatever it needs be. Also I get a Qes/pe! in the vent mach which I assume is bad.

I listen to all types of music, metal and rap mostly, not to worried about it metering great. I don't know if I tuned it to the right freq. Also if you would recommend something different let me know.

What kind of sound are you looking for? If you build it where it's at 2 sealed, 3 ported with right around 50in^ of port tuned around 45hz, it should have good output and a nice range.

Oh, of it's for 2 subs, just double the airspace and bring the port to around 80in^.

I like to listen to all types of music, mostly metal and rap. I want it to sound good, but be loud(don't we all), I would give up volume for sq. It doesn't matter if it meters good, but I spent a lot of money on this stuff so I don't want it to be embarrassed when I go to local comps.

I don't know what that means. I have forgotten most of what I knew, and I didn't know that much. It's mostly the lingo I haven't picked up on yet.

So with doubling for 2 subs are you saying 4 cubic feet for the sealed portion and 6 cubic feet for the ported portion? And 50 square inches of port, so around a 7" x 7" square port. How long?

Would a different style shape of port be better?

I'd do it with a subwoofer on each side, in it's own sealed chamber, with the ported section in the middle. I'd start with the port being 9x9, with it being whatever length needed for a 45hz tune, then start shrinking it until you're happy with the low end output.

How do I figure where to start with port length? By shrinking you mean length?

At one time I thought I knew what I was doing. I should just pay someone to design my box, but I like learning.
