    Help with an SA-8 box.

My SA-8 is on the way, D4, V1.

I'm planning on giving it around 8-900W daily.
I'm assuming the best area would be .6ft^3.

I've been trying to come up with a box design, but I'm not getting anything that will work for me.

Looking for it to be tuned to 33hz. My only dimension constraint is 10" high.

Can anyone help me find the width and depth, along with the port length and width for an 8.5" high slot port?

What is the sub displacement? Like .12?

Re: Help with an SA-8 box.

Here is 1cuft tuned to 33Hz

    10"H x 30"w x 12.25" (13" actual depth due to double baffle)

    8.5" tall port 2" wide 36.5" long

Someone might come up with something better, but this was my go at it.

Does it really need the double baffle? Might be a bit overkill for a single 8. lol

that's a pretty long panel though. Double baffle is probably overkill, but a brace wouldn't hurt . But 1cf is too large for an SA8 anyway.

I have a enclosure in the works for a pair at 1.12 after displacement tuned around 36hz though. Tuning is a pain due to how small the enclosure is.

Truth. That's why I said it was too large. 1cf and 900 watts daily that poor sa8 would hate you.

Re: Help with an SA-8 box.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, I'm coming up with that enclosure being .7ft^3 after displacement. Even then though I think it may be a bit too big.
