ok so i got a jeep from my dad a couple days ago. and i was wondering wat kind of box would be best for the back??

What kind of subs are you gonna put in it? Daily or SPL? For daily you would want sub up port forward

Hey whats up, I got two ten inch l5 kickers and a cheapy amp, and it sounds pretty b.a. later on im gonna buy a better amp and build a custom box.Whats your budget.when I started all i had money for was two tens and a cheap *** amp.

Yeah, I'd really try to stay away from boss.low end subs= low end quality. my first setup was a boss 2000w amp and two ten inch kenwood's.the amp only really throws less than 400w. compared to my kicker zx.400 that amp is poo. If I were you I'd buy good wiring, including 0guage power and ground wire, rca's remote and speaker wire.Then depending on how much you got left start from there.just my .02c

How much cargo space can you afford to give up?

I've had good results with subs and port both up and to the sides (all combinations). The key seems to be not crowding things. SO if you plan to fire subs/port towards a wall keep about 8-10" between the box and that wall.

And you never know you could also try looking at the classifieds section for good deals on great used equipment.

If you have the space with the subs your using my jeep grand cherokee like the sub and port facing back against the tailgate. Lows sounded good.

aight cool yea i can kill as much space as i want but i also dont wana put in a high end system in the jeep just a resonable one till i get my truck back

well if you have a 600$ budget and taking you spent 100-200$ on a good set of wires you could land these 2 KICKER 10C15 15" SUBWOOFERS+ATREND SUB BOX ENCLOSURE | eBay and still have enough left for an amp to power'm.

ick, kicker l5s and l7s are garbage imo...do subs up port back.

its a cheap 3000 watt pyle amp and not really into kicker i like being the outsider
