I'm going to shoot for 24-28 on tuning next time.. with 2 4" tube ports. instead of a slot port like this one

I wish I knew. The flared port + roundovers make my port act a bit longer than it is on paper. I was shooting for 42hz but I think I missed by 8 or 10 cycles on the low side.
IMO if you're not watching movies tuning below 30 is pretty pointless and you'll trade off a lot of impact in the mid to high 50hz range for some infrasonic stuff that you'll almost never find in music.
I watch alot of movies in the daily, and most of the music i listen to ranges from 20-35hz slowed/screwed ****... and some dubstep
what kind of tuning do ya'll use in comps ? over 40 or what ? this is in no way for comps but working on a car / truck for that for next year tho.

Doing the second port piece at 20" long makes it stop 1.75" from the left wall...change the length to 19.75".

Even 28hz tuning should dig down to 20 well enough from my experience... you definitely want to to do that if you're watching movies. 40-45 tuning for comps generally, sometimes higher depending on the sub/car/application..... I've had boxes that need to be tuned as low as 38hz to peak at 55/56 depending on the subs/volume, so it's really down to a lot of experimentation.
