Sub box terminal sup affect airspace?

I'm about to build my first box and I has a question on the terminal cup - I need to buy one but I've been thinking - it looks like most of them are deep enough to intrude into the airspace of the box... Is this something you account for and build a tiny bit bigger because of or do people just ignore it? It will be a 0.299 cube sealed box for a sundown E8 v.2.

    Thanks

edit: OH NOOO I MISSPELLED THE THREAD TITLE.... FAIL AT LIFE...

If your using 3/4" wood it will be fine..if not it will such a small amount of space it won't make a difference.

Mmkay thanks.. It will be 1/2" so... we'll see I suppose.

Also, does MDF have any advantages over birch ply? The ply is tempting because I'm trying to keep the car light for speedzz

Run a stud thru the box. 1 for positive and 1 for negative and just connect your wires like you would normally. Except you'll have ring terminals instead of the push things like the normal terminal cups have.

true birch is great if you don't mind spending the funds to get it. As for the 1/2" wood you will be fine, it won't stick into the box but maybe 1/4" at most
