Rhino Lined boxes?

Whats the pro's & cons of them? I am thinking about rhino lining mine I like the way it looks, Just never really messed with it

I was thinking of doing it myself with the spray on stuff, Any recommendations?

Don't use the Rustoleum stuff you can get at Wal-Mart, it looks nice at first but chips easy and scuffs even easier.

Just use fleckstone spray paint, maybesome type of clear coat to strengthen it.

I was going to just say hell with it & carpet it, But I can't stand leaf's & grass sticking to my carpet I play football 7 baseball with my buddys all the time so I always put my dirty clothes in the back, So I think this stuff will be perfect

I'v messed with both on enclosures. Rhino is very expensive for what it is, although it does look great, the price is the main con. Herculiner would be a better option, just rolls on nicely and the stuff is impossibly to chip...literally. Fleckstone is nice too, but does chip if something hits it. You can get herculiner at your local auto parts store for around $30.

i just finished an enclosure sunday, and i decided to try a cheaper option. got a box of the sand texture that you dump directly into the paint (4$ for the sand, 15 for a gallon of primer). in my case, i dumped it directly into the gallon of primer, rolled it on, then painted my desired color with spray can paint. most people wont need multiple boxes worth of textured primer, but even with alot left over, i spent 25$ (i can probably squeeze 7-10 boxes from this gallon of textured primer). using a quart of primer, instead of a gallon would bring cost down to under 15$ for primer, texture and paint. turned out looking good, but durability is still a question. a clear coat will help. note: i have found that boxes with odd angles, notches, etc. are nearly impossible to texture this way. if you have to use a brush to do inside corners, it will have ugly brush strokes in the texture (unless you roll up to the corner, let dry, then roll the opposite corner panel). it works fine on normal cube shaped enclosures, and can be painted any color. i like that i can control sheen this way also by using a matte, semi-gloss or glossy clear coat. i would bet that bed liner is more durable than this, but it cant be customized with color and sheen. my 2 cents.

I've used the rhino lining at walmart. It stinks for quite a bit like a month or so maybe a bit longer. But I've never had a problem with it chipping

I rhino lined my entire 24 cubic foot wall inside and out....it can hold water

Actually, using Rhino or Line X to coat an enclosure does more than just enhance the box cosmetically. It actually weatherproofs it, strengthens and seals the enclosure. In fact using Rhino or Line X actually helps reduce bending and flexing of the panels while providing an air tight seal. Its weatherproofing ability is great for marine applications. I wouldn't recommend using a knock off or cheaper brand. As snoopdan stated above its not really that expensive. A typical enclosure costs between $30-70 to have sprayed. Another option is to purchase a prefab enclosure already coated with Rhino or Line X. I know that Atrend (atrendusa.com) has a whole series of professionally coated Line X enclosures.
