Box for SA-12

What should i tune my box to for a Sundown Audio SA-12? The website suggested 1.75^3 @ 30hz.
I want to tune it to 32hz, i think, to get the loudest but best quality. But what size should the box be? Is 2.5^3 @ 32hz too big?

One more q: I was talking to my tech teacher today, i will be making the ported box in his class. He asked how i would joint them. He suggested data or whatever. Where there is slots and you put glue and slide them in. Or just brad nail and glue?

Ehh that might be stretching it, but it also depends on how much power you plan on running to it.

Also, with a box that small, you don't need any bracing. I don't use slots, just put it together with wood glue and screws.
