    aq hdc3 18 copper coils

    i have two aq hdc3 18s copper coil and was see what the best tuning would be and size off box. the box what i have designed rite now is 13.19 ft3 but that is not with the doawl rod in the middle. is tuned to 37 hz. and the port area is 211.50in2. they are going to be seeing 1500 rms each. i listen to rap,old school rap

    I believe the general guideline for these is ~6ft^3 tuned in the 35-38hz area. You're pretty close to that so you shouldn't have any issues with that box.

    design looks solid for your application. build it and enjoy.......until you upgrade to alum coils and double the power
