dual 8w7's enclosure

I got this box made by Mike, AmiCreations.

The enclosure is 2cf, 30x14x15, 2cft tuned to 34hz, 25 sq inches of port, birch, double baffled, countersunk, 45 corners, rounded ports, and resin coated.

Mike, AmiCreations (enclosure) was a great guy to work with, first class all the way! He let me make change after change, I know I was a PITA, THANKS AGAIN BRO!

Toxic Tuan, (mids/hi's) we had a issue, you solved it quickly could not have asked for anything more, the comps sound great.

JH8909 (deadening), gave a SIC $$ on like 30ft enough to double up on my doors!

These are great guys to deal with DO NOT hesitate dealing with these dudes. Quick EZ PZ transactions!

Now back to breaking in these subs, there tight like virgins!

Soon, my installer said take it EZ for a couple weeks and killed my gains (there sitting @11 oclock/40%). He said that PPI d3000/1 (1200 watts@ 1.5ohms) could blow up those 8's without blinking.

I guess he KNEW what I was gonna do! Its only been like 4 days since the install.... Ill see him in a couple weeks for a retune and gain adjustment(60/75% gains if im lucky) for MAX output "according to him"

At first I thought BS, but I rather listen and be safe then SORRY... lord knows I dont wanna blow anything up

i guess this is a n00b question but why not MDF or HDF?

The good plywood is stronger and lighter...cheap stuff from Home Depot, not so much.

Also, I'm still curious why he needed to do 3 layers on the baffle...no need for that IMO.

Its only doubled baffeled, the 3rd layer is purely cosmetic for a flusher look. Maybe you wanna look a wee bit closer...
