    alluminum on box?

i just built a big ported box and coverd it all in carpet but didnt like the look of it...so i got a bunch of polished alluminum and am covering the whole box in that..will this look sweet/make a difference in sound? i wouldnt htink it would rattle w/ the carpet under it, and the wood is 3/4 thick.
