    sealed vs. ported

i built a ported enclosure for my 2 rockford hx2's and it was about 2.5 ft^3 per sub. the box was too big for my 93 grand prix so i tried to make it smaller but screwed it up. now i'm deciding if i should go to a sealed enclosure since it doesn't have to be as big as a ported box. is their a BIG difference in loudness between sealed and ported? i'm using 2 1001bd amps to push the subs and i plan on using 3/4" MDF wood for the box.

    Re: sealed vs. ported

yes , a ported box done correctly will be twice as loud as a sealed box, and most likely sound better too
