    wood thickness?

will your sub sound different depending on how thick your box is? or does the thickness just affect how sturdy it is? because ive seen boxes made from various thickness's of MDF, anywere between 1/2inch and 1inch.

1/2" is ok in some low power installs, though I would still suggest that you use 3/4" or larger material whenever possible.

The aforementioned flexing can be resolved with some internal bracing if need be. And yes, you should be able to notice a difference between a flexing box and a non flexing box, if that's what you're wondering.
