Flat vs angled subwoofer sealed box

Besides aesthetics(looks), is there really a difference in sub performance assuming the same cu. ft volume in each box?

It shouldn't make a difference.

Unless it's in a trunk car, then the angle may play a slight role in how the resonance reflects off the back. Shouldn't be too audible though.
