    sealing box with fiberglass resin?

anyone trying this? I was planning to seal the inside of my sub box with the resin but not use fiberglass.

it is pretty pointless if the box doesnt have any plexi or anything. Not sure of the performance as compared to resin. you are basicly making more work for yourself than you really need to.

If you're running some serious power/have a huge box and need some extra stability, then the resin idea will work. MDF when thoroughly saturated with resin is like concrete. But if you don't meet any of the aforementioned conditions, then it's not necessary.

Re: sealing box with fiberglass resin?

I did it before, worked well. Just poured in a bit of resin and tilt the box to get it to go wher eyou want it to. It takes a bit more time then regular caulk or liquid nails etc

I use resin when I build them then caulk over the resin to ensure a good seal . Can never be too careful
