Will those 8 12's even come close to the lows of the 4 15's from the soundstreams or SSD's??
I hear 15's lows are hard to match with 12's
for daily lows 15's or 12's?
You can definitely get as low with 12s as you could with 15s or 18s for that matter.

My point exactly. My 4 10s got as low as my friends 4 15s and louder to the ear.
As long as the person designing the box knows exactly what the hell they are doing then I don't see where you would have problems. Multiple subs in bandbass's are super meticulous. Make sure everything is in phase and your box is done correct or it will sound like ***.
Bandpass boxes arent as bad as everyone thinks. At one point someone said "If a bandpass isnt built EXACTLY right to the tee, it will sound absolutely horrible and blow your speaker!", and everyone believed it. Its just like a ported box, you can pretty much do whatever and it will still play music. Just like ported boxes, some will sound much better than others when designed correctly.
