power vs size

I cant remember the rule of thumb for giving your subs more power. is it bigger box, high tune or bigger box, low tune or small box high tune?

big box was for underpowerd i thought not sure on the tuning tho

usually if you want to run more power to a sub, put it in a smaller box than normal with about the same tuning that you would use in a normal box. the smaller box will usually be more peaky.
