15" box facing in, out, or up?

i just got 2 15" off of my friend with an MA audio amp inside an accord but i can't decide what way to face the subs to make them hit as hard as possible. When i face the subs towards he driver the box had no clearance n when i face the box up i have at least 4 inchs and i never faced the box towards the trunk bcuz it makes alot of trunk rattle. Can Anyone Out There Help Me PLZ?

My moms got 1 12" in her accord and we put the woofer like 5 inches away from the trunk lid, the trunk lid rattles, but hopefully were gunnu get some deadning on the trunk lid. But from what i have tried, you get the best results from facing it towards the lid and popping the seat down. The worst rattling problem though is gunnu be that stupid trunk lining, that plastic with carpet stuff. That krap is really annoying cause it shakes like crazy, we tried fixing it by putting some like cushiony stuff from pillows and that behind it, it helped alot.

facing the subs up towards the lid is the best usualy for an accord. Get some dynamat to stop the rattling.
