new setup i'm running is 2 re se 10's with a us md1 in an 05 f150 extcab
box is supercrewsound where i've modified the mounthing depth to accept the subs.
rock and some rap it sounds great but won't hit lows at all. i wasn't expecting it to shake the panels or do the "shirt trick" but i expected more than what it's producing.
i'm pretty new to all this stuff but my gf's one fosgate 12 and amp hits better than my setup and i know for a fact my components are superior.
from what supercrew's website claims, the box has .6^3 per sub which is what re's website claims is ideal for a sealed setup.
obviously the subs are underneath the rear set and downfiring
2?'s . . .
is it possible for me to port the box to get the desired lows and still keep the clean tight sq notes for "rock" ?
or would i be better off building a glass box and porting it? i have access to unlimited amounts of glass and resin.
from what i've read (if i were to build a new box) it would be easier to have one common area for the subs and one port rather than two with two ports.
i listen to rock, rap . . .anthing but country.
what are some thoughts or ideas??
