aero or not to aero?

i just ordered my new (well new to me) RE sx 12's. i plan to be putting them in their reccomended "compact" enclosure. which is 1.5 ft each tuned to 35hz.

im not the best carpenter, and ive never used aeros before. its easy for me to screw up a slot vent. ive done it before.

my question is, which will be louder, which will sound better? aeros or slot vent

and how many/how big should the aeros be?

from my exp. it like a larger box i went from 1.6 to 2.25 cu ft and if made a huge differance

I'd do 2-6'' aeros

i would do 2 4" aeros. my current box is 6.5cubes with 4 4" aeros
