    Fart box

I hate to sound like a noob, but How is a "fart box" different than a regular ported enclosure tuned high?
    More port area?

If you believe you're stupid then you're stupid. You start gravitating to all things stupid . And stupid **** follows you where ever you go. You are surrounded by stupid because you chose to be that way. Someone told you you were stupid so you believed that. And the demons in hell accomadated you and set out to make all things stupid happen for you.

    Jims right.

    Its not.

A high tuned box is considered a fart box. Meant to play only one note. Which tuning high does.

    Re: Fart box

Your typical drop-in type fart box is also very small with a lot of port area.

    Re: Fart box

Well also, fart boxes usually have SPL subs, and with a little box, you can usually send more power to them. Thats another reason for the low volume.

    Re: Fart box

yea, normally small box, lots o port. I've made a few tuned to upper 40's, low 50's. Still didn't sound to bad in a daily environment, but I know there are boxes tuned to upper 60's low 70's

    New car...new build coming soon.

    Re: Fart box

A fart box is where you fart into the box before mounting the sub. Farts have higher density than normal air and will pressurize the cabin more when you burp the box (where you burp into the port (helps if you have a few friends burp too for the larger ports) and then quickly play your peak freq and get a meter reading)
