    Re: Fiberglass Help

There are ways to make the spare tire accessable. It depends on what kind of car though as to how to accomplish it. Sssssooooooo........what kind of car ya drive?

    Re: car

Ahhhh.......... the civic. most I have done were simply a false floor with the enclosure attach to it. And the false floor attach to the car with a piano hinge. You can motorize it if you like also .

    Re: Fiberglass Help

Yeah man. A false floor is simply a piece of wood 1/2" - 3/4" thick depending upon the weight of your enclosure. That is cut in the shape of your hatch floor. Take a compass and trace the perimeter of your hatch floor on some cardboard, and make yourself a template. Then trace your template on your wood. And get to cutting Once you got that done. You can attach it with a piano hinge right behind the back seat. Then build your enclosure on the false floor. leave yourself some sort of handle to lift it with.

or yu could relocate your spare to a different part of the hatch. To me the false floor is easier. But others like to move it

If you use a hinge. make sure you don't drill into the gas tank. It will be right under the area your working

Only problem there is if he ever gets a flat its a big pain in the *** to unhook your amp and pull out your box in order to get to your spare. Trust me I had to do this along side I-79 one time.
