Getting rid of Port Noise

Well I'm tryin to figure out how to get rid of port noise. I have a small enclosure. About 2.21 after displacement. Port noise is audible when subs hit higher notes. Is there a way to make port noise less audible? There are two ports that are 3x2 1/4x18. I believe its tuned to around 32 hz. Would makin bigger ports reduce the noise or going with small ports reduce it?

Sand the back edges of the port. When the edges are rough it creates port turbelance so you should just try to sound it and round the edges a lil.

Go with larger ports to get rid of port noise.

but if you make them bigger itll tune it differently, if it matters.

well if u go larger...u change the length to compensate....

Recalculated everything. My box is tuned to around 35hz. The ports are about 17 inches long. If I tuned it to around 25 hz(I'd have to had about another 8 inches of port length) would that help rid of port noise. I'd also have to wind it around the outside of the box. When I finish it would end up looking like to U's(the ports) inside the box. Just kinda want to get rid of this as some of its pretty annoying.

I wish my brother knew how to add and figure the right lengths, so I woudn't have to deal with this.

nope....like i said...jus make the diameter larger....adjust the length to compensate

yea bigger diameter will get rid of port noise. but since u have a bigger diameter that means higher tuning so to get ur tuning back down u need to have a longer port. so u probaly need like some 4 inch ports that r like 10 inches or something.
