center console

anyone know how to remove the center console on a 97 expedition?
im trying to make the 6 disk changer installed in there into a mini safe so i dont have to carry around my faceplate

just have to remove all the screws its pretty simple i removed my rear console, also let me know if u want another 6 disc cd changer i have a stock one looking to sell

just curious, are the screws in accessable places or do i have to pull up carpet or anything like that

if you look at it closely its pretty straight forward...i don't remember the exact screw locations but they remove fairly easily

all should be located inside the console some are a pain to get to but not you shouldnt have to pull the carpet up

remove one of the seats (or both) , it will be easier

is there an easy way to remove that? and by saying there all inside the center console im assuming theyll be accessed by removing that?
