My ABC Design For 15" sub

I drew this out after i did some math and a little reading. Someone look over it and tell me if it looks good. Should be 4.5 total internal cubic feet. 1st chamber being 1.5 after displace, 2nd being 3cubes after displace. This is for a 15"

ewwww, bandpass? I know it's a 6th order and all, but wouldn't it be much simpler to go with a simple one chamber, one port enclosure?

    Where'd you get bandpass from?

Box looks good. I'm not going to double check the measurements and whatnot. Just make sure you've subracted the volume ocupied by each of the ports before calculating the airspace.

Hmm, if that isn't a bandpass box, then I'm sadly mistaken. Just looked pretty much like a bandpass to me, that's why.

Don't look sealed, don't look ported, don't look like a TL enclosure either. The only other one that I'm aware of is bandpass.

    Oh, and I guess your's shouldn't be a 6th, you've got port running in-between chambers too... perhaps 8th order?

Its an ABC (Aperiodic Bi Chamber) box.

Basically its two ported boxes in one, with two distinct tuning frequencies so as to flatten response and increses efficiency over a broader frequency range.

isn't it still pretty much a bandpass, or I don't know what I'm talking about(again)?

I suppose it slightly resembles a 6th order...

It's a dual chambered vented enclosure...

so it's supposed to sound nothing like a bandpass?

Still looks to me like a hybrid bandpass.. dunno what the curves would look like though...

It's supposed to have about the same output as a ported enclosure over a wider frequency spectrum...

In order for it to be bandpass, the woofer would need to be mounted in the baffle in the middle, firing into one of the chambers. Then it would be a 6th order bandpass.
