    1990 mustang coupe install

    i have a 90 coupe in the paint shop right now, and i was going to install 4rf hx2's pushed by a phd2 in the trunk, but i have since changed my mind because i dont think i would have the cubic foot for the install. i have heard a lot of people speaking on ed 15a. so i am planning on selling all 4 subs, to buy two 15 eda's. now here are my questions
    1. when i build the box and install the subs should i have them facing forwards, or to the rear.
    2. should i use a sealed or ported box
    3. do you think it would be worth my while to purchase a epicenter.
    4. should i get a cap. if so what farad
    5. should i sell my red top and get a yellow top
    6. do you guys know of where i can find pictures of systems installed in 83-93 mustangs.

    here is all that i currently own
    clarion deck
    earthquake phd2
    us acoustics 65wx4
    infinity perfect 6.5 comp
    blaupunkt 6x8
    ppi eqp
    4 rf hx2 12's
    red top
    140 amp powermast alt

    i am 65/35 spl/sq. i heard the ed subs are real good on spl and sq. any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated. if you guys think i should go with a different sub setup please let me know.

    15"A's are great subs, heres my opinions..

    1. it will depend on car and personal taste, but in most cases, toward the rear sounds better..

    2. Ported, only because u want more SPL.. These subs maintain awsome SQ even ported..

    3. No epicenter, well it wont help really with SPL or anything. If you know what it does and want that, then go for it.

    4. NO CAP, wont really do ****..

    5. Well redtop is a started battery, while yellow is more dedicated system battery... if this is a second battery, get a yellow top, if its replacing ur stock, get redtop.

    did you use the specs off of ed's site in building your box. im not quite sure how to understand what they are saying. if you can give me a little bit of info on building a box that would be very helpful. my boy knows how to build boxes, but i wanted to get info from you since you already have a box built. thanks.

    of course its a 5.0. dynoed at the rear wheel it makes 343 rwhp, and 370 rftlbs of torque. now i just need to install the sound system to drown out the motor. a car gets pretty loud with long tube headers, no cats, and two chamber flows with turndowns.

    man that is the only car that i love. its my 4th mustang. they were all 5.0 and all 5 spds. i cant stand driving an automatic.

    do you know which is lighter i've heard the coupes were 200lb lighter than the hatch but i love the look of the hatch's

    the coupes were about 200lbs lighter, and they were a little stiffer because they just had a trunk and not a hatch. this is the first coupe that i have earned. i usaully only drive hatchbacks. you get better sound in the stereo, but i had to get this coupe because it was going for 1500 dollars. it was kind of raggedy, but i took out the whole interior, and spent about 3grand on the paint job. so it is looking a whole lot better.

    that **it is sweet. mine has 18 inch rims on it, and the paint is twilight blue pearl metallic, with two black pearl stripes. mine also has the cobra r hood. my old one was meaner then this one, but it got sideswiped so i sold it to my boy for hella cheap (which i regret doing) because he fixed it and now is trying to rub it in my face, but thats ok. i have the money to make my new one meaner.
