you will need a counter-sink bit...its like a drill bit but it has a sloped tip. you can put it into most drills and drill presses.

or the free alternitive is to drill your piolt hole then with a biger bit (just slightly larger than the head of your screw) and drill down about an 8th inch or so in the same hole. that will work just fine, but yeah a countersink bit will do it too.
