Ok the recommended box size for a fi Q 15 is 2 cu ft. sealed. Mine is around 1.8. Will the box being undersized really matter?

stuff it
i have a 15" sub in a 1.6cuft sealed and it sounds great
allright.....how much is it and do i have to tape it down?
lol, i just stole a piece of fiberglass insulation from over the top of a door in the basement and slapped it in the box
who needs measurements and all that stuff![]()
The normal amount is 1 lb of dacron stuffing per cu ft of box.
So you would need 1.8 lbs of stuffing, which will be a tight fit.
Well I dont wanna use the wrong stuff and have it somehow ruin the speaker. This is very unlikely I know, just throwin it out there. Do u just let the stuff fly around?
If you're really concerned with the .2 CuFt, you could invert the subwoofer to eliminate any displacement the woofer will take up.
