whats a good tuning for a 9515g

hey just got the sub 2day and wanted to know what tuning is good for it...box will be 4cft net...

I've had my 9515 in two boxes so so far.

First was 4.25 net tuned to 39 hz with 101.25 square inches of slot port with the sub back and port back
Second was 3.75 net tuned to 40 hz with 50.25 square inches of areo port with the sub up port side.

Of the two, I liked the sound from the first box better.

I have a new one that is 3.85 net tuned to 36 hz with 66 square inches of slot port with the sub up and port back.


As far as good tuning, **** anywhere from 30 - 40 hz depending on application. I would say around 35 would be good enough.

i liked 39hz in my car with the 9515s ive used, i used from 4 net to 8 net with mine.... i did try other tuning and jst did better with the 39ish boxs

I really like 36hz tuning on them. I installed 2 9515g's in my friends blazer, 8.25 2 6" aeros tuned at 36, and it plays fully from 25hz-65hz with authority. I would use a bit larger then 4, just IMO though

They're definatly loud, but if you listen to any slowed down stuff and or like a great balance, tune a few hz less and it does pretty **** good Not under 35hz though, no point really.
