    Painting Speaker Box

Hey guys, I need opinions on making a box look good without carpeting it. Please list things you've used, or seen used whether it be paint/stain, or whatever. I figure I could search and find my answer but I don't have the time atm. Anyways, please help me out and list pictures if possible.

Are you looking for directions on how to paint, or what finish to use? No one can help you with the latter as it's obviously a personal choice.

    Re: Painting Speaker Box

get it sprayed by a bed liner shop. than get some auto paint to match the vehicle and paint the box. the texture of the bed liner spray looks good. if you don't want to fork out the 50 bux for a bed liner shop to spray it, Home Depot and Lowe's carry a hammered spray paint that'll have a similar appearance.

    Re: Painting Speaker Box

to poster who said shag carpet, is there a site specificly to get it? been looking for a long *** time. would appreciate a link if ya have it?

using birch if you want to go with the stained route is nice. just remember to counter sink everything and dont use anything under 120 grit sandpaper. i used minwax as stain and poly urethane clear coat. easily obtained from lowes or home depot. both together under 10 bucks! i was happy after 2 coats of stain, then like 3-4 coats of clear giving each coat ample time to dry. check out my pics for reference if you'd like.
