need help with 2 he2s with 700s

please help me...i have 2 rockford he2 subs running off a rockford 700s. its in a standered enclosure, my question is weather or not it would be better in a bandpass box? i was told it might be best to build my own box, but i have no clue how too..there in a 2002 4 door cavalier. i thought it would be much better when i bought them, is there any simple way to make them sound better...i dont know much, thanks for the help.

im guessing by "standard", you mean sealed. Building a bandpass will most likely make them a little louder, but sound like crap. Now building a ported enclosure could make them sound good and loud. I'de say read up on ported enclosures.. they arnt hard to build (u may think when u look at them, but they arnt). Just ask questions man... ide say stay away from bandpass, difficult to build, and even when built correctly the results arnt spectacular.

A 4cu' box tuned to 28Hz would sound pretty good. Mine are in a 6cu' box tuned to 26Hz and I'm happy.
