Port Question

I plan on using an aeroport on my new box, do i need to put a certain amount in and certain amount out of the box?

diamater= 4 inch
length = 16

box is 1.3 cubes if that helps

what tuning are you looking to get? That would be the determining factor of how much pipe to use

40hertz, give or take 1 or 2

If your port needs to be 16" for tuning (I'm assuming you did the math) then it doesn't matter if the port is inside or outside the box. If you place it inside the box you need to adjust the vol for the dispalcement of the port though.

to be honest with you i didn't do that math, thats what i was told to do by someone else

1.3 Ft^3 after sub and port displacement

4" Aero port 13.75" long = 40hz

although you may want to look into doing the port externally. they tend to get a little louder on the meter that way and you dont have to take into account port displacement

Hey.. I've got a "port question"...

I'm doing two 4" tube ports.. would it be ok to have the ports mounted on opposite sides of the box??? Or do the need to be right next to each other?

would just make sense to mount them on the same side. may get some weird air flow if you do it another way. but go for it and find out

Well, thats a last resort..

After some more "better" measuring it LOOKS like I will be able to fit both in the same spot..
