HELP:15'' alpine type r in a ported enclosure

I really wanted to design a box incorporating plexiglass....what are peoples thoughts on how well plexiglass holds up as a box?

it's expensive, is my thought. down here in new orleans its 100 for a 2x4 sheet. and 350 for a 4x8 sheet.

i can afford it ....i just want to know how it will hold up...i plan on trying to do just a regular box with 2 sides out of MDF and 2 out of plexiglass..but i have actually never seen/ built a box with plexiglass b4 wanted to know if anyone out there has and what they thought about it.

BJfisher has done several boxes with a plexiglass window, maybe PM him or something....

But I'm pretty sure it will hold up fine, just make sure it is sealed up well.

ok should i do 3/4 inch or 1/2 inch be fine?
