    box volume

i was wondering if having a box that is too big can damage you subs in any way, and if too much volume doesn't do damage does it make it seem louder or softer, higher or deeper.

Alot depends on the power your giving the sub, the sub itself, and what kind of enclosure . Normally no it won't harm the sub. It will affect the sound though. bigger usually means more umph at lower frequencies. And a little less power handling.
