    box tuning

I notice that when I tune a box on winisd that the I get the most db out of a box tuned at around 37hz. When i read the forums I notice that most people are saying to tune around 28-32. Whats going on pros?

It is eisier to reproduce sound waves at higher frequencies than at lower frequencies. Yes u can tune it to 28 or 32 or even 20 hz if u want but more than likely it would not be as loud as 50hz or 40hz. Also alot of it has to do with the speaker u are using. If u have a speaker with a high resonance frequency F0 (Fs). then it is more efficient at higher frequencies and vice versa. All the hype now is about people reaching 180db yet that can be easily beaten using higher frequencies. people have reach well above 200 db using really high frequeces but the pros want to reach high db's at low frequencies. Hope i helped
