you might want to get the 9mm MDF or soemthing? Or how about particleboard? It's not gonna take a lot of pressure like a sub box, so you shouldn't have a problem there...

hardboard would probably be the best -- comes as thin as 1/8".....I have used it to build the basic frame for fiberglass jobs so i know it sticks.
