Will these subs fit this Q-Logic bandpass?

Im about to get these Kenwood subs:

Since I want to use a bandpass instead of a box, will this bandpass fit 2 of them?

You may be set in your choice, but I've heard the excelon stuff is the only good stuff from kenwood.

well what '12 inch subs do u recommend that's reasonably priced?

and since we're on this subject, which other bandpass boxes do you guys recommend? preferably for Dual '12 inch subs. I also like ones with neon lights

Uggh, bandpass. Don't even get this forum started on bandpass, ESPECIALLY pre-fab ones. They are horrible for pretty much any setup. Nobody here (well at least the people that have knowledge) would ever reccommend a bandpass.

if your lookin to spend round 130 id look into the adire shiva ($125) from adire audio, alpine type-r ($115 at ikesound.com), or ed12k from elemental designs.

That's exactly how i felt. Especially when he said he liked the ones with the neon. We've lost another one. They're dropping like flies to the attractive force and looks of the bandpass.

well yea i did say im a noob to custom audio
so how come bandpasses ****? if so, then I should get a premade box from q-logic or other brands then?

Get some of the new JL Audio 12wo or 12w3v2 subs they work great in ported or sealed. But forget the bandpass they are ****.

no if you want maximum performance out of your subs then MAKE your own bos to your car...and i would reccommend ported...so would everyone on here...and to make you happy you can put as many neon lights on the box as you want..

Prefab bandpass **** because they are not built specifically for the sub going in there. Prefab bandpass will peak at a certain frequency, usually is a pretty wacky Hz too, so only frequencies around that number will sound good, the rest will sound like ***.

I suggest either
A)Building your own box
B)Having someone on the forum build one for you, I know of a few people here that can build boxes for ya.

Also, may I suggest looking into the Adire Audio Shiva's, they cost just as much as the Kenwood's, and you will be A LOT happier with them...

Bandpasses are very hard to get them to sound good. The only ones that can even get close to sounding decent are ones that are designed for a specific subwoofer. Plus, they are tuned to sound good(or decent i should say) at certain frequencies, so when it hits that frequency, the subs get loud. But any other time and they just sound like crap. You'd be much better off getting a ported box if you want loud. And try not to buy pre-fabs. It's much cooler and cheper to make your own box. Plus you get the satisfaction of knowing that your system sounds good because of the box you built.

hmm interesting , so how hard is it to build my own ported box? can u link me to a DIY site with pics?

also, what other brand name '12 inch subs do you guys recommend? since everyone keep telling me kenwood sux except for their excelon stuff. I want 2 '12 inchers for less than $200, or a little higher if its worth the xtra cash.

And my friend's bro is selling his Legacy LA-690 amp ,which he bought for $200, to me for $100. It's a 4 channel amp, any1 bought this amp or know some1 who has? if so, how was it?
