um, its your car etc. you figure it out, use bolts and stuff ? maybe some metal bent to screw in to the metal in the car etc?
L- brackets work well. Get some self-tapping screws and woodscrews to screw it into your sheet metal. If you don't know what these things are, go to your local HD or Lowe's, explain your situation, mention those three things, and you'll probably figure it out.
Be creative, then tell us about it.
yeah.... right... used two l brackets and some self tapping metal screws, but is this the best? can i secure it a better way? i want it as solid as possible.

how would you do it?

what kina car do you have?

If it's more for security then I'd pull the sub(s) out and run a few bolts through the bottom of the box and floor of the car and tighten up from underneath. I'd use some BIG fender washers on the box side and bottom of car, so they contact more surface and can't be ripped out easily...
Huh. Thats a good idea.
I was thinking L-brackets because that's what I use, but I just have them so my stuff doesn't slide around.
You can also use odd shaped screws to keep your stuff tied down, so when they get frustrated with the box, they can't just take your subs and amp. I'm thinking along the lines of square or star-headed screws.
Sorry for assuming you didn't know what an L-bracket or self-tapping screw is.
Before you drill holes in the floor of your trunk, crawl under your car, and look for rubber plugs under the frame. I ended up having two perfect locations to bolt my box from the inside of the box, down through the floor, and through the frame member that runs parallel to the back seat. Cant rip this box out.

Sorry to thread jack, but I have a 92 sentra, and I can't imagine finding more than 1 place to sink a bolt at. My spare tire is in the center of the floor of my trunk.

ended up using self tappers and l brackets, didn't even puncture the gas tank, and got a 2 way paging alarm.
i'll sleep a little better now but if ****ing thieves want it bad enough they'll take it.
yes
I'd use some large bolts with some large washers and just bolt it down through the bottom of the box. Unless they wanna tear your entire trunk off, they're not getting it.
