yes there is mdf resonates sound waves and stuff better than reg partical board i think the best imo is mdf and i've heard birch is good

Why is mdf better? more dense?
denser and easier to work with, won't split as easy, etc... use MDF. All local building supply places should have it and it's not expensive.

I'd use MDF over particle board or plywood without question.
Anyone know how Trupan Ultralight does vs standard MDF?
