    junk *** enclosure build mt10 and mm2000.1

    materials: 3/4 polyply birch, welded angle iron supports and braces, titebond 2, drywall screws, blood and sweat, no tears.

    the plan: 4.11^3 before displacement, 3.65^3 after displacement tuned to 35hz.

    equipment: mt10 and mm2000.1 as mentioned.

    mm2000.1 in hand, mt10, in route via ups

    truck: chevrolet colorado i2.8, ext cab no seats in rear, triple sound deadened on the back walls, ceiling and floor.

    think it's too big? i couldn't find too many other people with mt's, and i dont have any specs from RE, trying to estimate what i think it needs.

    i'd say less than 2... it's beefy, but it's still a 10 and they don't need much air space...

    Just because it's an MT doesn't mean it needs over twice what a 'normal' ten would use.

    I've heard from a few people the MT's like smallish boxes anyway. My 12 is in an average size box, 2.5 cubes.

    That box is too large, by about DOUBLE.

    I would recommend 1.7cubes NET.

    I agree...or even smaller with that power.
    1.5-1.7 seems like a good size. 2 cubes is more then enough for the 12" driver...

    My 10's were in 1.1 cubes NET ported...

    1.2-1.7cubes NET for 10's is what I go by...

    i was thikning two cubes, i guess i'll have to shed some of the box, just finished cutting all the wood too.

    scratch that, i am just going to put 45's in all the corners and reinforce it from the inside with 1 cube and a half of mdf.

    that'll give me ~2 cubes, and actually drop my tuning to 31hz if i dont change my lengths.

    sounds like a winner.
