ok, i have an L7 in a 2.5 cubic foot box tuned at 35Hz. it really gets the lows really good. the highs are really really lacking. what would tuning to 38-40Hz do for the highs?

check your low pass filter maybe its down too low.
my question was vague. i meant higher notes in the bass line. i barely heard them. my filters are all set properly.

i already tried that. nothing helps. how about my sub sonic filter? its only on/off. could that be a problem? what would i get if i threw it in the same sized box tuned higher?

Without some eq'ing it's very hard to get the best of both worlds. I don't know a single sub that manages to cover the normal subwoofer spectrum with the same efficiency. Some do better on the low end, some do better up top. It's just a trade off thing. You have to find what works best for you and go with it. Until you get an EQ on that subwoofer at least.

well, i have a single cab truck. so what a huge truck box? 2.55 cubes @ 39Hz. but, the total port length is only 22.875. how will that effect me?would a long style truck box be ok?it would be really cool looking.
